BURGERKING.jpg

Despite having a heart attack that many people go directly to the fast food, says a new study, eat you at least once a week.

Published in the American Journal of Cardiology, researchers surveyed 2,500 patients of heart attack and found 36 per cent (884 participants in the study) admitted to eat fast food frequently in the month before his heart attack. Scientists considered "frequently" once a week or more.

After a six-month follow-up, the scientists found 503 people returned to eat fast food every week; younger patients, men, and people least education were the most likely to go back to their habits of fast food. But in general rapid decline among patients of heart attack at the consumption of food, especially older patients and people who had bypass surgery.

And educate patients of heart attack had a profound effect on their choice of food. People who have received advice from nutrition - 9 of every 10 patients - still ate fast food frequently. By what the researchers are asking for better education before patients leave the hospital.

Do insulin: poorly justified the Rap?

insulin.jpg

The question of the insulin-makes-him-fat is something that I have been in a circle. My formal education nutrition came mainly in the mid-1990s when low in fats still reigned supreme and low carbohydrate diet was a fashion and a dangerous.

Fast forward to 7-8 years at the top of popularity low in carbohydrate and insulin was the evil responsible for our growing waist hormone. The rationale was simple and seemed so logical. Eating lots of carbohydrates - spike your insulin - insulin promotes fat storage and ready! Get fat. I was buying.

Low carbohydrate diet gurus repeating this message for many years - but he has misinterpreted insulin?

This is not to know the most intricate biological details of the effect of insulin in the body; However credit 3 very smart individuals to help dissect the complicated and often misrepresented insulin role: Alan Aragon, James Krieger and "carb Sane". A time ago, Krieger wrote a series of five phenomenal part called insulin: an undeserved bad reputation.

1. A high Carb Diet leads to chronically elevated levels of insulin
Eat a meal high in carbohydrates only temporarily raises the level of insulin in healthy individuals. This means that any affects fat loss of insulin suppression is virtually non-existent, as the ability to store fat does not exceed the capacity of free it - assuming that they do not consume more calories the spend.

2 Carbohydrate units of insulin units of fat storage
The body has the ability to store fat under a variety of levels of insulin. Insulin mitigate the effect of a hormone of fat called "hormone sensitive lipase" (LAV). Fat, however it does too in the absence of high levels of insulin. Therefore fat overeating will still not allow loss of fat despite low levels of insulin.

3 Insulin make you hungry
Not only is it a false idea, but it is the opposite may be true. Appetite is a very complex issue in any case and indicate a single factor is ridiculous default.

4 Carbohydrates and carbohydrate unit of insulin
Many are surprised to learn that protein can also stimulate the production of insulin. This is not really lost in the crowd of ardent carb low - with many of them promote low in carbohydrates and low protein to prevent the production of insulin (shakes head). In this study despite almost two times the consumption of carbohydrates and much larger response of sugar in the blood, the insulin response was actually slightly less in the largest group of carbohydrates.

It is a question complicated - plain and simple. Who says weight gain has a singular cause lies to your face. Weight management is multivariate and multi-layered. I suggest you take a look detailed rebuttals to the entire series if you have a great interest.

Restrictive diet can significantly help to ADHD

adhd.gif

A study published in The Lancet has shown that a restrictive diet can serve to reduce the symptoms of the disorder of hyperactivity in young children (ADHD) attention deficit.

100 children between the ages of 4 and 8 were placed on a diet containing foods not processed for five weeks. The restrictive diet began with a diet called the "few diet food" which includes only rice, meat, vegetables, pears and water. The researchers then supplement this diet with certain foods such as potatoes, fruit and wheat. The ADHD symptoms declined by 78 per cent of them. When she was reintroduced alleged problems of food in the diet, two-thirds of the children suffered a relapse into symptoms.

The authors of the study had to say about the results;

A strictly supervised restricted elimination diet is a valuable tool to assess if the ADHD is induced by food... We think that it should be considered intervention dietary in all children with ADHD, provided that the parents are willing to follow a diet restricted elimination of diagnosis for a period of five weeks, and expert supervision is always available.

Children with ADHD have problems focusing, paying attention and may be hyperactive.

Food sugary for a long time were considered the main culprit when it ADHD, but the evidence in this Department is low. Food additives, however, appear to be gaining ground as the main trigger for dietary for this disorder.

This research is promising, as the results were very significant. (Sin_embargo,_la_cuestión_principal,_es_si_habrá_sufrido_un) diet results and b) parents and children may continue with this type of restrictive eating.

It would make common sense to try to reduce the amount of food processed in a child's diet - regardless of whether symptoms of ADHD. It would be interesting to have a third arm of treatment with a reduction in moderate in processed foods.

BLAIRRIVER.jpg

Blair River, the 6 foot 8, spokesman for 575 pounds for the heart attack Grill, has died at age 29 from pneumonia.

Why eating insects should not be errors you?

1140403_grig.jpg

According to a recent article in the Wall Street Journal, there are three good reasons for that and start to make mistakes (Yes, as in insects) a part of our diet:

They are highly nutritious: high protein, low in fat and full of vitamins of the B complex, iron and zinc.Increase in errors requires less food, water and energy than cattle, making it a source of food much more Earth-friendly.There are more of them that there are of us. More than 1,000 types of insects can be eaten.

Here is a reason why most of us is not jumping on the bandwagon:

They are the mistakes. Yuck.

Let me give my Western-ness aside for a minute, however. Because entomologists of the University of Wageningen Dutch - when the investigation is under way on how to make more acceptable - insects make a convincing argument to encourage humans to rethink food or lobster worms as a source of possible protein.

With an additional 3 million people are estimated to share the planet with us by the year 2050, land and other resources necessary for animal husbandry becomes scarce. Insects, might be (humanely, for lovers of animals) in his garage eating their food waste.

I'm not ready to order a taco of grasshopper, but I can certainly see the logic.

And if you think that it is absolute, it would never allow a six-legged creature as cross his lips, consider these statistics:

In the United States, more processed foods contain small amounts of insects, within the limits established by the food and drug administration. Chocolate, the FDA limit is 60 fragments of insects per 100 grams. Peanut butter may be up to 30 parts of insects per 100 grams, and fruit juice can have five eggs of the fruit fly and larvae of one or two per 250 ml (little more than a cup). We also use many insect products to dye our foods, such as the cochineal red dye in imitation, Campari and sweet crab sticks. So some of the way as in the capture of six-legged creatures are already a regular part of the diet.

For the most part, are already eating them.

I am an omnivore, but probably would be vegetable before making a part of my diet to errors. And you?

Don't Be Tricked By Deceptive Food Marketing

blueberries.jpg

If you buy a lot of packaged foods, but don't take much time to read the labels, chances are you're being duped by some of these products.

I recently came across a helpful video by Natural News TV, which does a pretty good job of exposing some of the practices of big companies like Kellogg and General Mills.

Pretty pictures of "whole" foods on the front of product packages may give the impression that those foods contain a good proportion of healthy ingredients. But, perhaps you wouldn't expect to find "blueberry bits" listed in the ingredients of a product displaying fresh blueberries on the front of the pack.

And, what exactly are blueberry bits anyway? Think, sugar, partially hydrogenated oils and artificial colors -- certainly not the healthy addition to your diet you may have thought you were making.

Investigative journalist Mike Adams for Natural News TV, exposes the unhealthy ingredients and dishonest marketing of big companies in the video below, using blueberry products as the example:

If you're unsure whether a product is a good option or not, just read the ingredients list. If the list is as long as your arm, you can be sure the food isn't a healthy choice. Also, if it contains ingredients like artificial colors, high fructose corn syrup, or hydrogenated fats, just give it a miss, and go for some fresh produce instead.

Anything which requires lots of marketing to sell itself probably isn't a good option -- you don't need to put a fancy label on an apple to tell people it's a great choice, do you?

Have you been duped by deceptive marketing in the past?
